Eunice Mahoney Mathis, widow of C. Leo Mathis, padied Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at her home in Manning.

Born March 5, 1913, in Manning, she was the daughter of the late Robert M. and Mattie Beatson Mahoney. She was a graduate of Manning High School, lifelong member of First Baptist Church and the T.E.L. Sunday school class. She was best remembered for her love of God, enduring faith, and her nurturing of family and friends.

Surviving are two sons, Leo Mathis Jr. (Jeannie) of Manning, Robert G. "Bobby" Mathis (Barbara) of Manning; a daughter, Linda Lesemann (John) of Manning; six grandchildren, Robert G. "Robbie" Mathis Jr. of Lansing, Michigan, Anita Ladd (Gary) of Mt. Pleasant, Brian Calloway (Stephanie) of Simpsonville, Laura L. McNair (Pierce) of Columbia, John Davis Lesemann Jr. (Juthamat) of Lemoore, Calif., Leslie Capobianco (Joe) of Hartsville; six great grandchildren, Meredith Ladd, Madison Ladd, Mary Catherine McNair, Evans Davis McNair, Cammie Calloway, and Dalton Capobianco; two sisters-in-law, Beulah S. Mahoney of Manning, and Ruth Floyd of Winnsboro.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2010, at Manning First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Thomas Vassar officiating. Burial followed in Manning Cemetery.

The family received friends at the home of John and Linda Lesemann, 1608 Lake Shore Drive, Manning.
