DAVID JENKINS

A public viewing for David Jenkins will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday at the mortuary.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Union Baptist Church of Rembert, 5840 Springhill Road, Rembert, with Dr. Walter Roberton III, pastor, officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

David was born on Nov. 22, 1946, in Rembert, to the late Isaac and Sylvia Holiday Jenkins. He departed this life on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, at Sumter Rehabilitation in Sumter.

Survivors include two sons, Terrance (Natasha) Jenkins and Bryan (Kelly) Jenkins, through wedded union with Sadie Sanders Jenkins; grandchildren, Christopher Roberts, Zabien Jenkins, Marcus Jenkins and Rachel Jenkins; two sisters, Dororthy Jenkins and Mattie Jenkins; three brothers, Issac (Mamie) Jenkins Jr., Henry (Geneva) Jenkins and Marvin (Jannie) Jenkins; two special daughters-in-love, Melissa Nickens McBride and Charlene Nickens McGee; grand goddaughter, Shanise McClary; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family is receiving friends from 3 to 7 p.m. at 6565 Black River Road, Rembert.
