DALE ALAN PINKERTON

Dale Alan Pinkerton, age 67, died on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Born in Limestone, Maine, he was a son of Leah Mae Bird Pinkerton and the late Ellis R. Pinkerton. Alan attended Campbell College, where he played on the soccer team. He loved to cook, hunt and referee children's soccer. Alan worked for his family's doughnut shop, where he was known to be the best doughnut roller in the area. He also worked for Kaydon Corp. as a machinist, where he retired after many years of service. He was a member of New Salem Baptist Church, where he served as a church deacon. He will be remembered as a very loving son, brother, uncle and friend and will be dearly missed by those who knew him.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Mark Pinkerton and his wife, Paula, of the Middle East; two sisters, Peggy Weninger and her husband, Wayne, of St. Marys, Georgia, and Laurie Morton of Sumter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
