BISHOPVILLE - Thanks to a new partnership between Coca-Cola Consolidated and Lee County School District, students and staff in Lee County School District's six schools can now enjoy products by the largest Coca-Cola bottler in the United States at all district academic and athletic events, according to a release from Coca-Cola Consolidated.

In addition, through this collaboration, students in Lee County School District will have access to opportunities, such as internships, employment opportunities and sponsorship of school activities.

"This partnership will open even more doors for us to engage in internship programs, student academic award programs and improve the workforce opportunities for future teammates," said Bishopville native Marquez Cain, Coca-Cola Consolidated Bishopville production supervisor.

"We are very fortunate to partner with this major corporation which has a local base in Lee County," said Bernard McDaniel, superintendent of Lee County School District. "We are excited that Coca-Cola Consolidated has expressed an interest in our school system and, more importantly, the future of our students."

McDaniel further noted that it simply made sense for the school district to partner with Coca-Cola Consolidated, which has invested in the county and employs many of the parents of students in Lee County schools.

Coca-Cola Consolidated makes, sells and distributes beverages of The Coca-Cola Company and other partner companies in more than 300 brands and flavors across 14 states and the District of Columbia. The company has seven facilities across South Carolina where 1,550 teammates serve more than 16,400 customers.

Coca-Cola Consolidated has been a long-time supporter of many community organizations across Bishopville and the Palmetto State.
