Harvin Clarendon County Library hosts Writing Workshop

MANNING - Aspiring writers who need a little help can find it at the Harvin Clarendon County Library's Tell-the-Story Write it Right workshop that is being taught by award-winning novelist Rhonda McKnight.

Sessions on different topics will be held from 9 a.m. until noon on July 27 and Aug. 20.

HCCL is also hosting other events for everyone.

Show your artistic ability and decorate a rock to leave with the library for its "Artwalk" Gallery. "Paint-A-Rock" will be held on Wednesday, July 31.

Back 2 School Giveaway set for July 27 at Manning elementary

MANNING - The Back 2 School Giveway will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at Manning Elementary School, 311 W. Boyce St. Drawstring backpacks and school supplies will be distributed while supplies last. Students must be present to receive supplies. Manning Police Department will be on site. Save Lives This Summer Blood Drive on July 31

MANNING - McLeod Health Clarendon in partnership with The Blood Connection is hosting a "Save Lives This Summer" Blood Drive from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, at 10 E. Hospital St.

Joanne W. Charles Memorial Annual Charity Golf Tournament

SANTEE - The Joanne W. Charles Memorial Annual Charity Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, Aug. 10, at Santee Cooper Country Club, 630 Santee Drive.

Shotgun start will be at 9 a.m. Prizes will be given for closest to the pin, longest drive and putting contest.
