2nd-annual Summer Town Bash deemed a success
Summerton Police Department Chief Donell Dixon, above, welcomes the crowd to the free 2nd-annual Back 2 School Summer Town Bash on July 20. Dixon thanked everyone who participated as a sponsor, donor or volunteer because without them, Dixon said the event wouldn't have been such a huge success. The event was sponsored by the Summerton Police Department, Dixon and the Town of Summerton in memory of the town's late Mayor Tony Junious.

SUMMERTON - The free 2nd-annual Back 2 School Summer Town Bash was sponsored by the Summerton Police Department, Summerton Police Chief Donell Dixon and the Town of Summerton in memory of the town's late-Mayor Tony Junious.
Hundreds of adults and children attended the July 20 event with dozens of sponsors giving away hundreds of back-to-school items for the youngsters.
