NEW ZION - Christopher Latwan Rogers, 19, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at McLeod Regional Medical Center, Florence.

He was a son of Willie Rogers and the late Lavon Billups Rogers and stepson of Brenda Singletary Rogers. He attended East Clarendon High School. As a young man, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined Greater Deep River Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors are his parents, Willie (Brenda) Rogers of the home; one sister, Shaniqua Rogers of the home; three brothers, Willie D. Rogers and Willie E. Singletay, both of the home, and Antonio Singletary of Kershaw; grandmothers, Lottie M. Rogers and Earnestine Baker, both of New Zion; great-grandmother, Robell Billups of Manning; six aunts; four uncles; several great-aunts and uncles; and fiance, Danielle Thompson of Kingstree.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010, at Greater Deep River Pentecostal Holiness Church, Lake City, with the Rev. Deloris Cattenhead, pastor, officiating. Burial was held in McKenzie and Brown Cemetery.

The family received friends at the home, 4889 Burnt Branch Road, New Zion.
