CHARLES ALVIN WEATHERLY
Charles Alvin Weatherly, 83, passed away peacefully on Friday, Nov. 10, 2023, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.
Born on June 23, 1940, in Sumter, he was a son of the late John Gordon Weatherly and Gladys Roberson Weatherly. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from Exide.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Juanita Arrants Weatherly; three children, Angela Green of Sumter, Alan Weatherly of Marion and Suzie Hancock (Tracy) of Myrtle Beach; a brother, Odell Weatherly (Linda) of Sumter; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Weatherly, and a sister, Elizabeth Darr.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Johnny McLeod officiating.
