Three new Democratic candidates are headed to the June primary after filing for the state House District 64 seat.
Candidates Adrian Conrad and Jack Spann, both of Sumter, and Michele Demery, of Clarendon, each filed with their respective county’s Board of Voter Registration and Elections on Friday, April 10 – the last day of filing.
The Democratic Party filing reopened after the sole Democratic candidate, David Epperson, withdrew on April 3.
The three will appear on the Democratic primary ballot on Tuesday, June 9.
The victor will face off against the sole Republican candidate, Rep. Fawn Pedalino, in November.
