Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 325 W. Fulton St., Sumter, announces:

- Sunday, Oct. 20, Deacons/Deaconess Anniversary Worship will be held at 10:45 a.m. Pastor Ricky Simmons will be the guest preacher.

- Saturday, Oct. 26, Youth Ministry 2nd-annual Trunk-or-Treat will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. This festive event will feature food, games and fun for all ages.

- Sunday, Oct. 27, Music Ministry Anniversary will be celebrated at 10:45 a.m.

LaGree AME Church, 2920 Kolb Road, announces:

- Sunday, Oct. 27, 3 p.m., the 132nd Church Anniversary Celebration will be held. The Rev. Wallace Preston, pastor of Orangehill AME Church, Wedgefield, will speak. Music provided by Orangehill AME Choir, visiting choirs and the choirs of LaGree.

Church of Christ, 313 Mooneyham Road, Sumter, announces:

- The church invites the public, gospel groups and choirs to its October Gospel Fest on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 5 p.m.

Several local churches are coming together to show God's love through The Church Community Fall Festival from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at Pisgah Baptist Church, 8295 Black River Road, Rembert. The free festival is open to the public and will include trunk or treat, games, cake walk, hayride, bouncy slide, photo corner, face painting, balloons, a petting zoo and more. And you won't go hungry with corndogs, elephant ears and popcorn. Participating churches include Pisgah Baptist, Pine Grove AME, Union Baptist, Mount Olivet, St. Matthews United Methodist, New Hope Baptist, Second Chance Fellowship, Red Hill Baptist, Springhill United Methodist, St. Johns, McLeod's Chapel, Beulah Christian and Mount Zion. Local fire departments, sheriff's departments, Gideons International and SCDNR will participate. Special guests will be Brant Tomlinson and Carlton Washington. St. John Methodist Church, 4021Springhill Road, Rembert, announces:

- Sunday-Monday, Nov. 3-4, a two-day revival will be held. The Sunday service will begin at 6 p.m. and feature the music of the Dewey Bass Band. The Rev. Debra Joe, pastor of St. John, will offer scripture and remarks on this year's theme: "Coming Together in Unity to Praise and Worship God." Monday's service, beginning at 7 p.m., will include special music provided by members of the community. Pastor Joe will deliver a Unity sermon based on Psalm 133, "How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity." This year's revival is designed to reach out to former members of the St. John family, to other churches in the community and residents of Lee, Kershaw and Sumter counties.

Westend Community Church, 101 S. Salem Ave., Sumter, announces:

- There will be a "Family Forum" for parents and guardians on Monday, Nov. 4, at 6 p.m. The event is sponsored by The One Sumter Community Group with the theme "Family Dynamics from Conception to the Grave."

New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 3249 S.C. 15 South, Sumter, will celebrate its 150th anniversary on Saturday, Nov. 16, and Sunday, Nov. 17.
