Up to the challenge

Regina Osborne, a fourth-grade teacher at Kingsbury Elementary School, incorporated STEM activities into her team-building plans during the first 10 days of school. Osborne's class participated in the "Saving Sam Challenge" and the "Cup Pyramid Challenge." Both activities not only required the students to use math and science knowledge, but also teamwork. "Building connections and a family atmosphere is what it is all about," Osborne said. "When children can be kind to one another, they can learn together. Give me a class of children that can get along, and we can go places!"
