THEODORE GIBSON

On Monday, Feb. 19, 2024, Theodore "Gip" Gibson, husband of Rachel Powell Gibson, heard his Master's call at Sumter East Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born on Friday, Feb. 23, 1962, in Newark, New Jersey, he was a son of Rosetta Gibson Small and the late Lawrence Waiters.

Services celebrating his life will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Fleming & DeLaine Chapel, 222 W. Boyce St., Manning, where the Rev. Elouise C. Pompey, associate minister of the Macedonia Baptist Church, Bloomville community of Manning will officiate. Masks are required. The service of committal will follow in the family plot located in the State Cemetery, Jordan community of Manning.

Public viewing will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Fleming & DeLaine Chapel.
