ALCOLU - Selvin Nelson, 74, husband of Barbara Scott Nelson, died on Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital, Columbia.
He was born on Sept. 9, 1949, in Alcolu, a son of the late Levi and Cadiver Frierson Nelson.
Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Hayes F. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Hayes F. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church St., Manning. Burial will follow in the Reeseville AME Church Cemetery, Alcolu.
The family is receiving friends from 3 to 6 p.m. at his residence, 2262 Boston Wells Road, Alcolu. COVID protocol masks required.
