MARTHA WILLIAMS

Funeral services for Martha Williams will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Mount Moriah United Methodist Church, 1379 Swimming Pen Road, Mayesville, with the Rev. John Dicks, pastor. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Martha was born on Dec. 26, 1955, in Lynchburg, to the late Willie and Maggie Brunson Williams.

Martha was preceded in death by her sisters, Willie Mae King, Eleanor Williams and Sadie Williams; brothers, Harry Lee Williams and Howard Williams; and nephews, Jermaine Williams and Quintin Williams.

She departed this life on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, in Bishopville.

Martha leaves to cherish her memories: her brother, Will Rogers Williams; her sister and guardian for the last 33-plus years, Irene Rose; sisters-in-law, Ruth Williams and Mary Williams; nieces, Michelle Judon, Carolyn Peterson, Gwendolyn Williams, Dr. Bertha (Russell) W. McCants, Ruthie Williams, the Rev. Dr. Jacqueline Green, Carolyn Hooper, Debora (Roland) Goodman, Mabel Williams, Shonda (Harold) Eaton, Felecia (McArthur) McCants and Sharell Brooks; nephews, Charlie Williams, Jermone Williams, Andre (Rhonda) Williams, Jeffery Williams, Adrian (Candice) Lesane and Marcus Williams; and a host of grandnieces, grandnephews, other family and friends who will miss her dearly.

The family is receiving friends from 2 to 8 p.m. daily at 2900 Manville St. Charles Road, Bishopville.
