MARTHA EDWARDS

Martha Edwards, 84, wife of William "Matt" Edwards Jr., passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018, at her home in Sumter, following a long illness.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Linda Rosser (Ricky); and a son, Larry Edwards (Jonnie). She was "Me-Ma" and "Grandma" to nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Other survivors include a sister, Mary Wright; a special niece like a daughter, Joyce McColl; and a special friend and neighbor, Stacy Bagwell.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Wayne Edwards and Bobby Edwards.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home.

A graveside service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery with her beloved nephew, the Rev. Daniel McColl, officiating.

The family extends special appreciation to Dr. Ansel McFaddin for his kindness and care to my wife and our mother. We would also like to thank the staff of Hospice Care of South Carolina for all of their care and compassion.
