JENEANE W. TOMLINSON

LYNCHBURG - Jeneane White Tomlinson, 84, passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018.

A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. today at Byrd Cemetery in Timmonsville. The family will speak to those attending after the service.

Mrs. Tomlinson was born in Florence County, a daughter of the late John Duncan and Nora Bell White. Jeneane was a graduate of Timmonsville High School. She attended Coker College and Columbia College. Jeneane won many beauty contests as a teenager. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Lynchburg. Before retiring, she worked for Young Brothers as the manager of the Swamp Fox Fireworks for 28 years. "Neane" loved her family and enjoyed doing things for others.

She was married to the late Nicholas J. Tomlinson Sr. for 49 years before his passing in 2004.

Surviving are two sons, John D. (Carolyn) Tomlinson of Greenville and Nicholas J. Tomlinson Jr. of Timmonsville; grandchildren, Nicole Tomlinson, Nicholas Tomlinson III and Sarah Tomlinson; special family members include Jean Tomlinson, Staci Stevens, Connor Purvis, Nathan Purvis and Caroline Stevens.

The family would like to thank Janice Kinlaw, Kelly Floyd, Beverly Johnson and Portia Welch for their help and friendship.
