TROY UNIVERSITY

TROY, Alabama - Troy University recognizes the following Sumter students who completed the requirements for graduation during the summer semester/Term 5 of the 2017-18 academic year: Shelley Kile, Master of Public Administration; and Whitney Saxon, Bachelor of Science.

Christopher Harvey of Sumter has been named to the Provost's List at Troy University for the summer semester/Term 5 of the 2017-18 academic year. The Provost's List honors full-time undergraduate students who are registered for at least 12 semester hours and who have a grade-point average of at least 3.65.

FURMAN UNIVERSITY

GREENVILLE - The following Furman University students who live in your area are included on the dean's list for the 2018 spring semester. Furman's dean's list is composed of full-time undergraduate students who earn a grade-point average of 3.4 or higher on a four-point system.

- Dalzell - William Shadwell, son of Christina Shadwell and Henry Shadwell; and

- Sumter - Tyler King, son of Pamela King and Brent King.

COASTAL CAROLINA UNIVERSITY

CONWAY - More than 380 students were eligible to participate in commencement ceremonies at Coastal Carolina University on Aug. 3.

Among those eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony:

- Manning - Davion Black earned a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Sport Management, and Tiana James earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology;

- Sumter - Allie Boan earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, Jade Graves earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Health, and Ashley Rutledge earned a Master of Business Administration in Business Administration.

The Zeta Xi Chapter of Phi Sigma Pi National Honor Fraternity at Coastal Carolina University was recognized at the fraternity's 2018 National Convention on July 28. During the awards banquet, the Zeta Xi Chapter was awarded the Joseph Torchia Outstanding Chapter Award and the Steven A. DiGuiseppe Excellence in Administration Award.

Alexandria Nelson of Manning and Jeannette Pryor of Sumter are members of the CCU chapter of Phi Sigma Pi.

UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS AT LITTLE ROCK

LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas - Skyler Keller of Sumter graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock during the spring 2018 semester. Keller graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies.
