Camp Happy Days needs donations

Camp Happy Days is in need of donations of caps, T-shirts, sunscreen and funds. Held annually the first week in July, Camp Happy Days is a weeklong event helping hundreds of young cancer patients and their siblings spend time in an atmosphere of fun, laughter and fellowship. The 12th Annual Art in the Park will be held Saturday, Sept. 22, at Memorial Park. Art and craft vendor fee is $50. Art and craft, community corner and children's craft center vendor applications can be downloaded at HSNAsumtersc.com.

The Bishopville / Manning / Shaw Air Force Base Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. meets at 8 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month at Corinth Missionary Baptist Church, 25 Community St.

Connected Warriors Inc. offers evidenced based trauma-conscious therapeutic yoga to service members, veterans and their families at no cost to participants at 5 p.m. on Wednesdays on Shaw Air Force Base for those who have access to the base and at 5 p.m. on Fridays at Southern Bliss Yoga, 600 Bultman Drive, number 4. The Purple Heart Chapter of Sumter is sponsoring a project to have all Purple Heart medal recipients inducted into the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor located in New York. An enrollment application must be completed by the medal recipient or next of kin if the veteran is deceased.
