Mary Peyton Zilch and Cody Scott Clepper, both of Sumter, were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Sumter.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Dwayne Chase and Mr. and Mrs. John Jacob Zilch, all of Sumter, and the granddaughter of Mr. Ronald T. Peyton of Albany, Georgia, the late Mr. and Mrs. Lee Nesbitt of Sumter and the late Betty Banks Peyton of Greenwood. She graduated from Wilson Hall in 2014 and from College of Charleston in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. She is employed by Prisma Health Tuomey as the athletic trainer for Wilson Hall.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Clepper of Sumter and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Perkins of Sumter, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Clepper of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and Ms. Beverly Rife of Newville, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Sumter High School in 2011, from Limestone College in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance and from Florida Institute of Technology in 2019 with a Master of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance. He is employed as the chief financial officer for Carolina Filters in Sumter.

The Rev. Joseph R. James Jr. of Trinity United Methodist Church served as officiant.

Music was provided by Beth Lewallen, organist.

Escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a dove satin ballgown designed by Essence of Australia featuring a curved V-neckline, shoestring straps, a dramatic skirt with hidden pockets and a classic V-back framed by sheer illusion paneling. Her chapel-length veil was adorned with handsewn lace.

Abigail Zilch, sister of the bride, and Rachel Thomas served as maids of honor. Kaci Dinkins, Mary Copeland Heath, Logan Lee Ingram, Cameron Richardson, Emily Hendrix Robinson and Sara Jane Steckman served as bridesmaids. Avery Floyd served as flower girl.

John Michael Schaffer served as best man. Groomsmen were Griffin Brown, Allen Caldwell, John Taylor Duke, Colin Floyd, Matthew Mullarkey, Tim Clepper, Peyton Shore and Jon Weiss Jr. Joshua Kelly served as ring bearer.

The bride's parents held the reception at The O'Donnell House.

The bridegroom's parents held the rehearsal party at Quixote Club.

Following a wedding trip to the Caribbean, the couple will reside in Sumter.
