PAWLEYS ISLAND - William "Bill" LeGrande Joye Jr., 92, widower of Mary Delores Shivers Joye, died on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, at MUSC in Charleston.

Born in Kingstree, he was a son of the late William LeGrande Joye and Olive Elizabeth Buddin Joye. Mr. Joye was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Surfside Beach, and was the retired owner and operator of Bill's Auto Sales in Sumter. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Surviving are three sons, David Joye of Andrews, Doug Joye (Dena) of Surfside Beach and Andy Joye (Lauren) of Pawleys Island; one daughter, Donna Murrell (Richard) of Sumter; one brother, Jimmy Joye (Libby) of Garden City; one sister, JoAnn McCollough of Kingstree; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Joye; and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Joye.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday in Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery with the Rev. Angela Marshall officiating.

The family will receive friends following the graveside as well as other times at the home of his daughter, 114 Conyers St.
