What you need to know to publish a 2023 debutante photo

Individual color photos of debutantes along with club information will publish in the Nov. 25-27 Weekend Edition of The Sumter Item. The deadline is noon Nov. 8.
Please email club information and photos to rhonda@theitem.com. Payment of $50 per individual photo should be mailed to Michelle Lee at The Sumter Item, 36 W. Liberty St., Sumter SC 29150. Payment must be made prior to publication.
Group photos with cutlines will run on space-available basis following each club's debutante ball. Cost for publication of a group photo is $100. Photos and information should be emailed to rhonda@theitem.com. Payment should be sent to above address.

Below is an example of a debutante announcement from 2022. Please use it as a guideline when submitting your club’s information.
The Carolinian Camellia Ball of Sumter will present five debutantes on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022, at Quixote Club in Sumter.
Mary Kaitlynn Boyce, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Player Boyce Jr., will be presented by her father and escorted by James Thornton Bolton III and Ethan Aaron Roberson.
Margaret Cameron Duffy, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Edward William Duffy Jr., will be presented by her father and escorted by Kyle O'Bryan Duffy and Ronald Hunter Hendrix.
Chandler Josey Patrick, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Richard Thomas Patrick Jr., will be presented by her father and escorted by Walker Snead Patrick and Alan Miller Richey.
Katherine Grace Singleton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Nathan Singleton, will be presented by her father and escorted by Dylan Jesse Dean and Kurt Emerson Moore Jr.
Sara Lindy Watford, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Benjamin Watford, will be presented by her father and escorted by James Millard Herlong and Samuel Larand Watford.
The Carolinian Camellia Ball will also present three sophomore sons: Dylan Jesse Dean, son of Dr. and Mrs. Steven Dean; James Millard Herlong, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Louis Herlong Jr.; and John Thomas Parker, son of Dr. and Mrs. Gilbert Edward Parker Jr.
Mr. Cary Glenn Coker is president of the club. Ball chairwoman is Mrs. Anthony Ray Scott, and debutante chairwoman is Mrs. Roger McSwain Armfield.
