WANDA KAY HODGE GARNER

Wanda Kay Hodge Garner, 62, died on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Born on Dec. 8, 1959, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Harmon P. Sr. and Joyce Rogers Hodge.

Survivors include two children, Bobby Garner of Florence and Melissa Ann McElveen of Effingham; three grandchildren, Savannah Victoria Garner, Kaniyah Marie Garner and Josiah Malik Barr; a sister, Bonnie Hodge Oxendine of North Carolina; and a close friend, Tom.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Harmon P. Hodge Jr.; a sister, Shelby Green; and a niece, Tina Berry.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in Sumter Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home.
