Voting open for May High School Teacher of the Month contest, presented by Morris College

Voting is open now through May 24 at 1 p.m. for the May 2022 series of The Sumter Item's High School Teacher of the Month contest, presented by Morris College.

The finalists are Kyle Austin from Sumter High School, Torrey Shannon from Sumter High School and Vakenya Rhems from Lakewood High School.

The public can vote once per day with no subscription to The Sumter Item required. Vote at www.theitem.com/highschoolteacher.

The winner will be revealed May 25.

In addition to the recognition, the winner will receive a certificate, swag and $50 to a local business, all courtesy of Morris College.
