VIRNTELL MARY HOLMES-DIXON

Virntell Mary Holmes-Dixon, 71, widow of Melvin Dixon, was born on Sept. 20, 1949, in Sumter, a daughter of the late Clinton Boyd and Marie Dukes. She departed this life on Friday, Oct. 9, 2020, at Sumter Health & Rehab Center.

She was educated in the public schools of Sumter and pursued a career in food services. She retired from Tuomey Healthcare System on Dec. 20, 2004, with 33 years of service.

Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Job's Mortuary.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 S. Salem Ave., Sumter, with the Rev. Harry Clark officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. daily at the home, 105 Benton Drive, Sumter, SC 29150. All visitors are asked to wear facial masks.

Job's Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., Sumter, is in charge of arrangements.
