WEST COLUMBIA - Virginia Gregory Roland, 67, of West Columbia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2018, in Columbia.

She was born on Feb. 24, 1951, in Columbia, to Daniel Jeremiah Roland Jr. and Annell Fox Roland. She was a 1969 graduate of Airport High School and earned an Associate's Degree in Court Reporting from Midlands Technical College. She worked as a circuit court reporter in the state of South Carolina Criminal Court for 20 years. Virginia truly experienced life to the fullest; traveling with friends and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She was a devout Christian and participated in several missionary trips.

Virginia is survived by her beloved mother, Annell Fox Roland; her sisters, Suzanne R. Freeman and Wyona R. Bradley; and her brother, Daniel Jeremiah Roland III. She is also survived by her niece, Angela Dannell Johnson; nephews, Willam C. Freeman Jr., Daniel Jeremiah Roland IV and Joseph Dylan Roland.

Virginia was predeceased by her beloved father, Daniel Jeremiah Roland Jr.; and her former husband, James F. Senn.

Her life will be celebrated on Sunday at Faith Lutheran Church, 1717 Platt Springs Road, West Columbia.

Visitation will be held at the church from 1 to 1:50 p.m. prior to the service at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Faith Lutheran Church Cemetery and visitation with light refreshments in the Faith Fellowship Hall immediately following.
