Victim advocate with Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office arrested

CLARENDON COUNTY – Sabrina Mellerson, a victim advocate with the Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office, was arrested on April 8 and charged with misconduct in office and embezzlement.

Clarendon County Sheriff Tim Baxley referred all questions involving the arrest to the South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division, who he said investigated the matter and made the charges.

Mellerson was released from the Clarendon County Detention Center on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond Friday afternoon.
