TONY ANDERSON

Tony Anderson, 63, died Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at his residence, 6803 Moses Dingle Road, Manning.

Born Sept. 15, 1947, in the Jordan section of Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Horace Anderson Sr. and Ella Mae Waiters Anderson. He attended Clarendon County public schools. At an early age, he accepted Christ and joined Union Cypress AME Church, where he was a lifelong member.

Survivors include an aunt, Cleo W. Hodge of Manning; three uncles, Lawrence (Mary Ida) Waiters, James Lee (Willa Mae) Scott and the Rev. O'Donald Dingle, all of Manning; and a special friend, Harrison Cain.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at Union Cypress AME Church, 8247 S.C. 260, Manning, with the Rev. Mary Hamilton, pastor, officiating. Burial followed in the churchyard cemetery.

The family received friends at the home of his uncle, the Rev. O'Donald Dingle, and the temporary home of his uncle and aunt, Lawrence (Mary) Waiters, 1445 Joseph Lemon and Dingle Road, Manning.
