TOMMYE SHULL LONG

Tommye Shull Long, age 85, beloved wife of the late John Sherman Long, died on Thursday, Ja. 13, 2022, at Solomons Home.

Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Agnes Nancy Brown Shull. Mrs. Long retired as the cafeteria manager at Lemira Elementary School after twenty-five years of service. She was an avid reader and was a member of Oasis Church. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.

Surviving are: one son, Rodney Long and his wife Wanda of Sumter; one daughter, Trina Long Mask and her husband, Dan, of Pinewood; one brother, Jim Shull of Hixson, Tennessee; two sisters, Robbie Hester and Jewell Rogers, both of Ringgold, Georgia; along with nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Mark Anthony Long, and her brother, Eddie Shull.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Howell officiating. A private interment will be held in Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. today at Bullock Funeral Home.
