Thaddeus Alexander Stambaugh, age 22, died on Friday, Dec. 2, 2022 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Thad was born in Columbia, a son of Thaddeus Cooper Stambaugh and Caryn McNaney West. He was the owner/operator of his own lawn care business. He loved motorcycles, fishing, football, his family and his friends. Thad was a bright spot to all who knew him and will be missed for his big heart and generosity.

Surviving in addition to his parents are a daughter, Chandler Kate Wingard of Sumter; one sister, Kylie Grace Stambaugh of Sumter; maternal grandmother, Arlyn McNaney of Columbia; paternal grandparents, Charles and Margaret Stambaugh and Audrey Stambaugh, all of Lewistown, Pennsylvania; one aunt, Robin Stambaugh of Sumter; and two uncles, James McNaney of Livermore, California, and Bryan McNaney of Farmington, Maine.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James McNaney.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday at the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chad Coulter, James Will, Coulter Terry, Cooper Mota, Alex Crolley, Wyatt Wilson, Walker Brooks and Brandon Griffin.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday at Bullock Funeral Home.
