Teseniar-Decker

MOUNT PLEASANT - Laila Teseniar and Dr. James Decker, both of Pearl, Mississippi, formerly of Charleston, were united in marriage at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, at Creek Club at I'on.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Teseniar of Charleston, formerly of Sumter, and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Morris of Sumter and the late Mr. and Mrs. Don Teseniar. She graduated from Columbia College with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Education. She is employed as a fifth-grade teacher at Oakdale Elementary School in Brandon, Mississippi.

The bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. James Decker of Charleston, and the grandson of Mrs. Ann Blalock and the late Mr. William Blalock of Charleston and the late Mr. and Mrs. Humbert Decker. He graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and from USC School of Medicine with a Doctor of Medicine. He is a radiology resident at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.

Jonathan Teseniar, uncle of the bride, officiated at the ceremony.

Music was provided by Holy City Strings.

The bride was escorted by her father. Amber Chavis served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Callison Madsen, CJ Anderson, Kalyn Duguay, Ansley Eustace and Addison Adams. Earline Morris, grandmother of the bride, served as flower girl.

William Decker, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Paul Ross, Zach Donaldson, Sterling Lombard, Logan Blalock and Weston Dewolff. Hayden Wilt served as ring bearer.

The bride's parents held the reception at the Creek Club at I'on.

The bridegroom's parents held the rehearsal party at Grace and Grit in Mount Pleasant.

The couple resides in Pearl, Mississippi.
