Tammy Marie Hair Hopkins, 50, wife of Reginald Hopkins, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019, in Arden, North Carolina.

Born Jan. 5, 1969, in Sumter, she was a daughter of Clarence Hair Sr. and Betsy Thames Hair. Tammy accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior as a child. She had a great compassion for animals and adopted many strays. She loved her family, the beach and Christmas, but her greatest love was her son, Patrick.

She was preceded in death by the light of her life, her son, Williams Patrick Goins; her paternal grandparents, Cole B. and Marie Hair Sr.; and her maternal grandparents, Joffery and Ruby Thames.

Survivors include her husband and parents, all of Sumter; two brothers, Clarence Hair Jr. (Bernadette) of Sumter and Ricky Hair (Julie) of Pinewood; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Charles Owens officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Don Griffin, Joe Brown, Mac McElveen, Monty Griffith, Davy Eargle and John Raffield.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of her parents, 2480 Bethel Church Road, Sumter.
