ATLANTA - Tameka "Ronnie" Holiday, 40, died Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at her home in Atlanta.

Born June 17, 1970, in Manning, she was a daughter of the late Henry Jefferson and Thelma Taylor Bennett. She attended Chancellor Avenue and graduated from Weequahic High School in Newark, N.J. She was currently studying psychology in college. She was a volunteer for the Heart Foundation in Atlanta.

Survivors are four sisters: Ashley (Micheal) Moses, Tabitha Bennett and Gina Bennett, all of Manning, and Tracy Bennett of Gainesville, Fla.; adoptive mother Annie Holiday of Alcolu; four adoptive sisters; three brothers; two aunts, Dora (Nathaniel) Dyson and Lena Mack, both of Manning; and one uncle, Louis Bennett of Manning.

Memorial services were held Monday, Feb. 28, 2011, at Hayes F. & LaNelle J. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel, 114 N. Church St., Manning, with the Rev. Al Smiling, officiating, assisted by Evangelist Dora Dyson and the Rev. Effie Hilton.
