Take unwanted, unused prescription drugs to Sumter Police Department on April 27 for safe disposal

Sumter Police Department is taking part in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration's 26th National Prescription Drug Take Back Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at 335 N. Lafayette Drive.

The following unwanted, unused prescription drugs can be dropped off:

- tablets;

- capsules;

- patches; and

- other solid forms of prescription drugs.

No creams, liquids or sharps will be collected.

This free, no-questions-asked event is held twice yearly on National Prescription Drug Take Back Day as well as year round during normal hours of operation at Sumter Police Department. Help remove these potentially harmful drugs from your homes and bring them to the department for safe disposal.
