Diana Roof, chair of the American 250! Committee and co-vice regent of Sumter's Home Chapter of The Daughters of the American Revolution, was designated as a SAR Partner in Patriotism at the SCSSAR Annual Meeting on Friday, April 4. She received both the Silver and Bronze NSSAR American 250th Recognition Medals, making her the first non-SAR and first DAR member in South Carolina to be formally nominated and approved for these medals.
The award recognizes those who participate in the planning and execution of events which educate, recognize and honor heroes of the American Revolution.
