Sumter woman dies in single-vehicle wreck early Saturday 

A single-vehicle wreck on Pinewood and Wedgefield roads resulted in one fatality, according to Sumter County Coroner Robbie Baker. 

The wreck occurred at about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9. 

Meagan Hudson, 22, of Sumter, was taken to Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, where she died from injuries sustained in the wreck, according to Baker. 

Next of kin has been notified and an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. 

Sumter County Coroner's Office and Sumter Police Department are investigating.
