Sumter woman dies in head-on wreck along McCrays Mill Road

Sumter County Coroner’s Office released the name of the individual involved in a wreck on Sunday, June 23.

At about 1 p.m., a wreck occurred on McCrays Mill Road and Capri Drive.

Nykeba Mack, 26, of Sumter, died on scene from injuries sustained in a head-on collision, according to Coroner Robbie Baker.

Next of kin has been notified, and an autopsy has been scheduled for Tuesday at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Sumter County Coroner’s Office and Sumter Police Department are investigating.
