Sumter School District's Food Services Department has received a lot of grants this year, which has allowed administration to expand and improve the meals they serve to students in the district's 24 schools. They have to take into account different food preferences and an ever-growing emphasis on healthy items. We sat down with the director of the districtwide department to learn more about what they do and how important school meals are to a student's education.
