Sumter Today: Toys for Tots at the Sumter RC Raceway

The Sumter RC Raceway is a small racetrack made of dirt ramps, piping, and a lot of dedication. Dozens of racers come from all across the southeastern U.S. to race at Veterans Park right here in Sumter. The track recently held its annual Toys for Tots race, asking each participant to bring a toy along with $5 that would be donated alongside the toys. Official races happen on the third Saturday of each month, weather permitting. Sumter Today is presented by the University of South Carolina Sumter, Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, and Sumter Tourism Visit Sumter, SC.
