Sumter Today: The Diamond Effect Mentorship Program Visits Morris College

Last week, the Diamond Effect Mentors held an outing for boys aged 10-18 to talk, eat, and tour Morris College before watching the men's basketball season opener against the University of the Virgin Islands. The Diamond-Stackz Classic began as a basketball tournament in honor and rememberance of Erick R. White. The money raised through the tournament has been spread back into the community through scholarships and donations. The group started the Diamond Effect Mentor program to offer a place of expression and guidance to the next generation in our community.
Sumter Today is presented by Sumter Opera House, University of South Carolina Sumter, and Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.
