Sumter Today: Sumter Marks the 20th Anniversary of 9/11

Saturday morning was the 20th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks. A ceremony was held at the Public Safety Complex, which is home to a piece of steel from the towers. Speeches were given by service members and community leaders, and the McEntire Air National Guard performed a flyover in remembrance of those lost.
Sumter Today is presented by Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, University of South Carolina Sumter, and Sumter Opera House.
