Hamptons opened over a decade ago in downtown Sumter, and its success has helped spur other dining and economic development along Main Street.

Restauranteur Danielle Thompson recently hired a new manager for Hamptons for her unique professional experience that she hopes will help bring Sumter even more into the hospitality scene.

Michele Gargiulo is a sommelier, and she has already started hosting wine tasting and pairing nights at the restaurant.

We stopped by to learn more about one of Sumter’s newer residents and what she’s offering.
