Sumter Today: Shaw Spouses Club showers Shaw Air Force Base with goodies

Shower Shaw with cookies has been an annual holiday time fundraiser for nearly three decades.
Sumter volunteers inc organizes churches, schools and other civic groups to bake cookies and package them for distribution to airmen at Shaw Air Force Base.
This year because of covid, they had to make some adjustments, the main one being they switched individuals baking homemade cookies to participants purchasing gifts and cleaning supplies.
We stopped by base this morning to learn more about the fundraiser and to see some of the goodies the Sumter community is giving to its airmen.
