As a silk, turquoise cloth was pulled down, a new statue was revealed last week in front of the Solomon B. Jackson Jr. Administration Building at Morris College.

The statue is a 6-foot, life-sized depiction of Luns Richardson, the college’s ninth and longest-serving president.
Richardson served the college from 1974 to 2017 and oversaw growth, expansion and academic advancement during his tenure.

We were on hand for the unveiling ceremony to learn more about Richardson’s impact and legacy.
