Last week, we showed you how USC Sumter’s Upward Bound program is keeping students engaged while they’re out of school with a summertime program that lets them explore cooking, art and dance.
Jeffrey Lampkin, chef and owner of Jeffrey Lampkin’s Country Boy Kitchen, volunteered to facilitate the culinary program.
To showcase what these students learned, he held a tasting event on Wednesday where the public was invited to test their talents.
