Syntrell Thompson is a community health worker, and she has been trying to connect parents with resources they might not have access to but critically need during the pandemic.
She hosted a Diaper Day Give Away Group event on Friday to provide parents with essential hygiene items for their children.
Many of these necessary items may not be on the forefront of items on COVID-19 response lists, which becomes a financial burden to families struggling during the pandemic.
The event was held at Midlands Fatherhood Coalition for their participants, and we stopped by to learn more about the initiative and the resources involved.
