Sumter Today: At Patriot Hall, the show will go on as dancers return home

It has been quite a while since the Sumter Civic Dance Company has performed on its home stage at Patriot Hall.
In fact, the company, directed by Andrea Freed-Levenson, gave the venue’s last concert before the pandemic forced it to shut down hosting public performances last year.

That will change tonight and tomorrow, when the group presents its annual spring concert, aptly titled this year “The Show Must Go On.

We stopped by a rehearsal to learn more about the show, from the different styles and music the audience will see and hear to the adjustments they have made throughout the past year.
