With the projected peak for deaths from COVID-19 in South Carolina still at least a couple weeks away, the state public health department announced 10 more deaths for the second day in a row on Wednesday, cracking the 100-count mark.

Tuesday’s tally marked the second-deadliest day in the Palmetto State from the new coronavirus, and Wednesday’s confirmed fatalities bring the toll to 107.
