A new club called the BioBantams started this school year at Bates Middle School, and the culmination of their year was to build a butterfly garden on the campus. The National Wildlife Federation recently named the garden a Certified Wildlife Habitat for creating a new home for pollinators. The students did everything from research what plants and flowers to use to making a blueprint of the garden and planting it.
