Sumter Today: The Sumter Item gets ready for a new photography exhibit at Patriot Hall

The Sumter Item started a partnership with Patriot Hall this year to show different sets of photos through our city and county’s history. Curated by Sumter historian and our archivist, Sammy Way, the first exhibit featured Item and Sumterite photographers’ work from World War II and the Vietnam War. Tomorrow, there will be an opening reception at Patriot Hall for the second exhibit in the Sumter’s Eyes series, this time featuring the Iris Festival through the years.
