If you've been outside even for a couple minutes this whole week, you probably know it's unseasonably hot right now. Yesterday was the fourth day in a row of either record tying or breaking heat, so we sat down with the Sumter Fire Department Fire Prevention Specialist Selena Ruth Smith to talk about tips for staying hydrated. For you regular watchers of Sumter Today, you've seen her teach fire safety to kids in schools all over Sumter, and she's all about making sure everyone is able to perform safely at their best.
